Functions
ARTICLE 119.
The General Advocate is responsible of defending the interests of the University and has the next faculties and obligations:
- Take responsability for the effective development of the legal issues of the University;
- Act as the attorney-in-fact of the University, by the Dean's mandate;
- Prepare and keep up to date procedure manuals, that will be approved by the Dean;
- Advise and legally guide the University's dependences in issues related to their functions;
- Act as the Secretary of the "Assesment Commitee";
- Assist the Dean in the "Comitee on Legal, Honor and Justice affairs of the University Council";
- In the Dean's absence, preside over the "Committee for Studies and Legislative Proyects"
- Keep up to date the University's legal and legislative file;
- Be part of the "Committee for Procurement, Leasing and Services.", with the faculties and duties already agreed in the corresponding regulations;
- Suggest to the Dean the legislative and reglamentary reforms that are advisable for better functioning of the University; and
- The others assigned by the University legislation and where necessary, the Dean.
