The student should conclude his/her studies, and have the capacity to comprehend and contribute to the different schools of thought in the program areas, possessing creativity to confront and resolve problems in an innovating manner, developing, and being a leader in investigation groups, with the capacity to work, adapt and participate in multi, inter, and trans-disciplinary groups. The student shall dedicate to the investigation of the Biological Sciences, taking care of the national & regional needs.
The student shall generate & apply knowledge, methodologies and techniques that enable the rational use of the Mexico’s natural resources.

The semester study plan takes three years (six semesters) for the students that possess a Master Degree already. During the first year, three basic block courses will be studied in accordance with the focusing of each student and the presentation of six seminars each semester; whereas the advancements of the investigation theme should be presented. Credits awards for various activities: such as academic mobility, generation of financed projects & the presentation of seminars and congresses, etc. The publication of an arbitred article will be mandatory and such will provide credits accordingly.
