Additional Admissions Requirements
   
Degree in General Surgery.
Certificate of passing grade from the National Residency Exam.
Minimum grade point average of eight during study of the bachelor’s degree.
Have enough time to dedicate to the course.
Be physically and mentally healthy.
Ability to translate technical and medical English.
Turn in postgraduate studies application and corresponding documentation.

 

Graduate Profile  

The program is composed of three aspects of educational achievement that are divided for the purpose of formal education: humanistic and professional orientation (being), intellectual training (knowing), and specialized practice (know-how).

Under these conditions, graduates will be highly competent medical specialists in their specific areas of study with the ability to:
 

     
Efficiently use the technology and methodology of medical attention in individual and group circumstances, in all situations with which they are presented.
 
Critically reflect on the resources of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation within their area of expertise.
 

 

Select, analyze, and evaluate the medical literature available on their area of expertise and apply this new knowledge to their daily life, in order to sustain, deepen and widen their professional activities.
 
Collaborate with interdisciplinary groups within the area of health, maintaining an integrated vision of their activities in relation to the work of the other professionals in their area.
Participate in educative health activities directed at patients and social groups, as well as in the diffusion of their medical knowledge among their equals and among new generations of health professionals.
Understand the training of medical professionals as a human and social phenomenon, taking into consideration the institutional conditions under which the exercise and teaching of medicine are carried out.
To maintain the principles of humanism and the integrity of the individual in the exercise of their specialization.
ProcuraTo endeavor to continue their education and professional development in order to endeavor to perfect their skills and the ethical employ of their medical knowledge.
Design research personal or group research projects that promote the advance of the health sciences.
