Additional admission requirements for all Specialization Programs in Law
- For the Specialization Programs in Notary Law, Private Law, Corporate Law, and Constitutional Law and Court Protection, only a Bachelor's Degree in Law will be accepted.
- For the Bachelor's Degree in Law, only the professional title of Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, Forensic Science, Sociology and related areas defined by the Departmental Council of Research and Postgraduate Studies will be accepted. Application forms must have been submitted previously.
- For the Specialty Program in Labor Law, in addition to the title of Bachelor's Degree in Law, only the professional title of Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Administration, Public Accounting, Psychology and related areas defined by the Departmental Council of Investigation Research and Postgraduate Studies will be accepted. Application forms must have been submitted previously.
- For the Specialization in Fiscal Law, in addition to the title of Bachelor's Degree in Law, only the professional title of Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Public Accounting, and related areas defined by the Departmental Council of Research and Postgraduate Studies will be accepted. Application forms must have been submitted previously.
- For the Specialization in Public Administration, a professional title in any area defined by the Academic Council will be accepted. Application forms must have been submitted previously. Other requirements are: birth certificate, a letter explaining motives of candidate, a letter expressing commitment to finishing the program, and a résumé. Foreigners from non-Spanish-speaking countries will have to demonstrate their knowledge of the Spanish language and submit documentation of their legal residence in the country.
Graduate Profile
Graduates of any of the specialization programs offered and taken in the Division of Research and Postgraduate Studies in the Department of Law will be provided with the theoretical and practical means for developing any of the professional activities inherent to their specialty and will additionally obtain:
- Varied and extensive knowledge in their field of specialty.
- Theoretical and practical training for professional work in their specialty.
- Ability to critically reflect on the theoretical and practical problems in their area.
- Indispensable tools for legal research, aimed not only at the academy, but also at other activities, such as high-level legal consultancy, solution of social problems with legal background or consequences.
- Knowledge and academic caliber, qualifying them as candidates for the Master's Degree in Law.
Field of Work
Graduates will be able to work in a notary public or as a public servant in a civil registry.
