INTRODUCTION
The Distance Baccalaureate B@UNAM-UAQ, is an inter-institutional agreement between the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and the Autonomous University of Queretaro (UAQ). It is an education option that the Baccalaureate School of the UAQ pretends to offer to the population of our State and within the region in order to provide coverage and equity.
It is a program designed and promoted by academic experts of the UNAM, with the primary objective to provide access to the Upper Intermediate Education, to those whom have not being able to enter a scholastic baccalaureate, or a semi-scholastic program.
The Baccalaureate program does not imply the expenses of school materials and textbooks, and it allows transportation time reduction since one may study any time of the day at home or the office, or any place that offers computer service connected to a wide-band Internet.
The exams are applied and taken every month at the places designated by the UAQ, this is done during weekends with easy access schedules for the target population. All is always assisted by trained technical personnel as per the technical skills that the program requires.
GENERAL OBJECTIVEThe Distance Baccalaureate general objective is to provide access to the Upper Intermediate Education, for those who have schedule and availability difficulties, or have not been able to enroll to the scholastic or semi-scholastic Baccalaureate. Specific objectives:
The students shall be evaluated as active agents with particular ways of thinking and different manners of approaching their own development, capable of learning how to act by their own initiative, and take the pertaining decisions in order to solve the possible challenges.
GRADUATE PROFILEIn the preparatory of the UAQ, the students are prepared with the basic general character knowledge enabling them to take upper studies at any other campus. The graduate has:

The handling of computer packages and the basis of Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Science disciplines.
Capabilities:
The capacity to work in a group
The capacity to select the best professional option

CIRCLE:
4.1. CREDIT LISTING AND CLASS HOURSThe curriculum schedule chart herein is preceded by tutoring and introductory courses which have the purpose to generate an adequate management of computer tools, and a navigation platform of mathematical and linguistic capabilities.

The chart shows the interaction of the different discipline axles (Social Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Mathematics).

VI. OPERATION OF THE DISTANCE BACCALAUREATE (UNAM-UAQ)6.1. Timing
It is necessary to be credited with a passing grade the tutoring and the introductory course which last approximately six months, and later cover the Baccalaureate assignations which will go on for two years; during this time period the twenty four assignment course curriculum chart schedule shall be covered in four modules.
Each module is covered in a six month period having six course assignment; one month per assignment (20hours per week, 80 per month), with limit timing for the crediting of the assignments.
6.1.1. SchedulesIt is required to dedicate twenty hours per week to pass the courses. One important advantage is the fact that the Distance Baccalaureate student can distribute the hours through the week as per his/her convenience. During the four weeks of each course assignment, the student has personalized advice provided by an expert and the continuous follow up of a tutor.
6.1.2. PlaceThe Baccalaureate activities are carried out mainly on line, but other methods of distance education are taken, such as videoconference, or the support materials in an electronic format. Furthermore the Baccalaureate student can attend the UAQ campus building: “Octavio S. Mondragón” located at “16 de septiembre # 63 Ote.” (ex-prep-school, downtown).
6.1.3. Tutors and AdvisorsThe tutors and advisors are specialists that will provide academic, family, personal and affective support, etc.
PROCEDURES
The admission requirements that should be covered by the candidates as well as the procedure for the enrollment are as follows:
After taking the tutoring, attend or call the coordination of the Distance Baccalaureate, for the registration of the introductory courses which have three assignment courses.
The students shall adhere to the exam rule requirements as per the UNAM-UAQ’s agreement.
7.3. Student certification:The “Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro” issues and delivers the certifícate which validates and supports the Distance Baccalaureate to each graduate; it is required that the student completed 100% of the credit assignment courses.
COURSE COSTThe student shall pay the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro: $ 2,500.00 pesos per semester.
