Graduates of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Teaching of Performing Arts will utilize the fundamental instruments of pedagogy and the methodology of performing arts teaching. They will have substantial theoretical and aesthetic knowledge, which will lay the foundation for their duties as a teacher. They will show appreciation and respect for culture and its various aesthetic manifestations. They will have the methodological and analytical basis for developing a critical eye for artistic and educational settings, and be able to collaborate in the promotion of art education. They will possess the necessary fundamentals to form part of the teaching body in professional schools in the area of performing arts, showing a commitment to teaching and an interest in creative investigation. They will have obtained the rudiments that allow them to create study programs and syllabi.
The Bachelor’s Degree in the Teaching of Performing Arts is divided into eight semesters of study. The courses are measured in hours per week and month, which will allow students to complete the hours required by the university, which are 320 in total. 160 of those 320 credits may be accredited or transferred, while 160 must be taken at the UAQ.
