Field Work
Industrial Designers will be trained professionals able to carry out multidisciplinary work in the design and development of industrial objects, services, and systems. They will work using solid practical knowledge, technological innovation, and a commitment to sustainable development in their social, cultural, and environmental surroundings, working in the middle and long-term within the context of globalization.

Lines of Research
User-Based Design
In this track correlations are made between the cognitive, social, and humanistic aspects of design. It consists of aesthetics, culture and communication, social responsibility, and human factors.
Students must develop skills of analysis, comprehension, and appraising of the needs of clients, as well as understanding the contexts they are working in. They will focus on important aspects such as management, creating business, markets, administration, etc. They must stimulate collaboration between the administrative and economic sciences, the social sciences, and the design department.
Design and Technology
This track is concerned with research of different ways in which design contributes to the implementation of technological development in consumer products and services. Equally important is the way in which new technological developments in production, representation, modeling, etc. affect the design and manufacture of products or services. This shows the interrelationship between design and future technology. This track will require collaboration with different areas of the Department of Engineering.

Bachelors in Industrial Design will be able to imagine, represent, and delimit a product, system, or service. They will also take into account the technical, functional, economic, and formal considerations involved in its development, ensuring that it is coherent in its form and function to the market it is created for.
