Title Degree: Specialty for the Process Gesture of Community Development

The Specialty in the “Gesture for Community Development” purpose is to be an option for the bachelor’s title degree, and to form social promoters not only in the State of Querétaro, but also in the nearby states for work development in government offices, in private companies and in Civil Institutions. The objective of this career is also fomenting these at the same time, and collaborating in the construction of a just democratic society with a wide humanitarian sense, and above all, with a social consciousness, forming professionals and specialists that would contribute towards the development as change agents, searching to raise the wellbeing levels by means of professionalization and investigation.
Entrance Profile
It is important to consider that the specialty is offered to those individuals that show interest, dedication and commitment with the process gesture work for Community Development. For such reason the aspirants to enter the Process Gesture of Community Development Specialty shall:
Have a Bachelor’s degree (may be Social & Humanities graduates) 
Graduates from other areas may enter as long as under the judgement of the teaching group formed by the entrance evaluation committee approves such entrance as per the compliance with the requirements and the entrance expectations pointed out herein.
Also technical studies graduates may enter the Superior Middle graduates, or urban, rural or indigenous community representatives; such cases will be reviewed by the same Entrance Evaluation Committee, and upon concluding the formation process only a participation aft davit shall be issued by the FCP & S-UAQ.
Additionally, the aspiring student should have an interview with the selecting committee that will verify some of the entrance expectations that should be complied with as follows:
Demonstrate minimum community work experience that would allow sustaining interest in forming himself / herself within this area.
Share his/her forming specialty expectations.
Having the basic theoretical & methodological elements in order initiate the specialty forming process.
Carry himself / herself based upon a series of principles & values that orient community work.
To show disposition & availability for collective work
Conciliate his/her daily work with the theoretical & practical work demand that the specialty requires during the entire year’s duration.
Foreign students should domain the Spanish language in such a manner that would allow satisfactory communication with the professors, as well among other students and at the working development places.
Graduation Profile:
The Specialty Gesture of Community Development graduates will possess mainly the following:
Knowledge:
A solid theoretical & practical formation to comprehend and analyze the socio-cultural context of the different societies
Will be capable to explain the socio-cultural phenomenon related to the economic, political, social & environmental elements that allow having an integral vision of the study subject problems.
Capabilities:
The graduates will be the processors of the community development that will handle in a responsible & committed manner a set of capabilities, knowledge, attitudes & values oriented towards the synergy of efforts between different social actors.
The graduates will be able to create innovate and create positive workspaces, the set of skills & the negotiation between actors with win-win logic.
Capacities:
The graduates will be capable to handle different theoretical perspectives that would allow the design of systematic & innovating actions focused towards the achievement of social transformation objectives beginning with diagnostic techniques, planning, follow up, feedback & evaluation.
Beginning with the fact that the knowledge process is constructed collectively, the graduate will articulate and get cross different perspectives, dimensions and scales to analyze the specific context in which the community development process is inscribed.
Attitudes:
The graduates will have an open attitude towards collaborating multi and interdisciplinary work. The graduates will have an attitude that will allow them to incorporate their knowledge and share with the people of the community.
